We spoke maybe 5-6 months ago over the phone in regards to my 10 year old son who was seriously injured riding his motocross bike and wanted to quit riding. Well I’m happy to say that he made the decision himself back around mid-January to start riding again, he said that he missed it too much and wanted to start riding. Since at that time it was the middle of winter and riding wasn’t possible I decided to buy the Mental Toughness Academy program and have him go through it during the winter before he was able to start riding. We went through every module, 1 per week and he religiously listens to the guided visualizations (or as he calls it “My Craig Stuff”) every night before bed and before school and I have to say, he is a much more confident, happy kid again. He wants to ride every day, and is even wants to do his first race in 9 months this weekend.
We plan to go thru all 8 modules of the program again from the start just to keep it fresh.
So I just thought I would let you know about the positive effects your training has had on him - a 10 year old with total Fear of injury, wanting to quit - back to wanting to ride and race, being more confident and mentally tough! I included a couple photos of him from back in August of 2015 with his injury to last week back on the bike.
Also, I received this from one of our friends:
“We spend a lot of time with Zach and I can honestly say this program made a huge difference! Back in the winter Zach had told me he didn't think he would be dirt biking this season! I was shocked, he loved it so much I knew fear had taken over after being hurt! Anyone who knows Zach, knows he will go into any game, race or event and always give 110%! For him to say those words was a surprise to say the least! Cory told me he had started a program with him to hopefully boost his confidence. It worked and not only did it bring back the old Zach, it brought an even better version of himself! He not only has the confidence to get back out and give it his best, I always hear him encouraging others and telling them they played a great game or what a great race they had! Keep up the the great work Zach! Your mom and dad, friends and family are all very proud of you!” – Kim Cook
